Hey, it’s me!
I’m Mary Ellen—wife, dog mom, latte lover, wedding photographer, and just a pretty normal person who genuinely loves what I do.
I’m the kind of person who can’t start the day without a latte (and usually needs another by 2 p.m.), loves a spontaneous game of pickleball with my husband, and can’t resist a good TV show after dinner—especially the cozy small-town kind. I’m laid-back but definitely Type A—(I know, a bit of a contradiction—but I promise it’s true). I’m happiest when my home is clean, my to-do list is checked off, and our dogs (Millie and Belle) are curled up next to me.
I grew up in Indiana and really do love it here—there’s nothing like a quiet drive through the countryside with worship or country music playing in the background. After college in Virginia (where I met my husband and best friend), we settled back in the Midwest.
I’ve been photographing weddings for years now, and it still never gets old. There’s something incredibly meaningful about documenting the start of a marriage—something I believe was designed by God and worth celebrating. I truly don’t believe wedding days are about the photos—they’re about the people. The photos matter because the people do.
I’m not someone who loves the spotlight, and that’s exactly why I love being behind the camera. My approach is a mix of guidance and observation—I’ll give direction when it’s helpful and step back when it’s not, always focused on capturing the real moments, not manufacturing them.
If you're looking for someone who will keep things calm, organized, and true to you—I’d be honored to be part of your day.
